The Bank commenced its commercial operations on August 01, 2011. AB Bank PLC. participated in the formation of Amana Bank with 15% shareholding. The principal activities of the Bank are to provide Sharia compliant banking related activities such as accepting customer deposits, personal banking, lease financing, home and property financing, advances against gold, resident and non-resident foreign currency operations, trade financing, import and export financing, equipment and machinery financing, working capital financing and project financing.As ABBPLC participated in the Board of Directors of Amana Bank Plc, it is recognised as an Associate Company of the Bank.
