FC Accounts and Fixed Deposits

FC Accounts

We offer Foreign Currency Accounts in USD/GBP/EUR for NRBs. Foreign Currency can be remitted to Bangladesh by the NRBs from their earning abroad or from other legal sources. The deposited amount in the FC accounts can also be remitted back or to other countries as per their requirement. Account Holders may set up nominees and Authorized Persons for these accounts.

Non Resident Foreign Currency Deposits (NFCD)

We offer Foreign Currency Fixed Term Deposits in USD/GBP/EUR with different tenors. Interest is paid in respective Foreign Currency. Rates of Interest are available under “Foreign Exchange Rate” published daily in our website.

Wage Earners' Bonds

Wage Earners Development Bond:

These Bonds are issued from the balance of the FC account for a tenure of 5 (Five) years. The Rate of interest is 12% p.a. in BDT.

USD Premium Bond:

These Bonds are issued from the balance of the FC account for a tenure of 3 (Three) years. The Rate of interest is 7.5% p.a. in BDT.

USD Investment Bond:

These Bonds are issued from the balance of the FC account for a tenure of 3 (Three) years. The Rate of interest is 6.5% p.a. in USD.

Note: The interest rates are subject to change as per Bangladesh Bank guideline issued from time to time. At present the earnings from all of the above mentioned Bonds are exempted from Tax.
