AB Bank PLC recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) Project, an initiative under the Wage Earners Welfare Board (WEWB), to facilitate access to finance for returning migrants aspiring to start their own businesses.

Mr. ZM Babar Khan, Additional Managing Director of the Bank, and Dr. ATM Mahbub-Ul Karim, Director of the project and Joint Secretary, signed the MoU at the Probashi Kallyan Bhaban in Dhaka.

This partnership is designed to provide returning migrants with the financial resources needed to launch or expand businesses, facilitating their seamless reintegration into the economy.

The signing ceremony was attended by DMD and CBO of the Bank Mr. Iftekhar Enam Awal and Deputy Project Director of RAISE Mr. Zahid Anowar. Senior Officials from both organizations were also present at the signing ceremony.
