AB Bank PLC, in collaboration with the SME and Special Programs Department (SMESPD)
of Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project, has inaugurated a month-long
‘Entrepreneur Development Program’ in Cox’s Bazar.
This intensive training initiative aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with essential
business knowledge and practical skills, thereby enabling them to access formal banking
services and actively contribute to sustainable economic development.
The program was attended by Mr. Mohammad Arifuzzaman, Director of Bangladesh
Bank’s Chattogram Office, as the chief guest. Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Director
of the SMESPD and Program Director of the SICIP project; Mr. Mohammad Aiyub Ali,
Joint Director and Deputy Program Director; and Mr. Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Program
Coordinator were present as special guests.
Mr. Iftekhar Enam Awal, Head of SME Banking of AB Bank PLC. presided over the
program. Senior officials from AB Bank were also present at the inaugural event, along
with 25 promising young entrepreneurs from the Cox’s Bazar region.
