AB Bank PLC. has recently disbursed agricultural loans among farmers in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar, with a view to increasing agricultural production and extending financial support to farmers.

A program was organized at the conference hall of Sreemangal Upazila under the initiative of Bangladesh Bank and the scheduled banks operating in Sreemangal Upazila. AB Bank PLC served as the coordinating bank for the program and disbursed agricultural loans among farmers as part of the open credit disbursement initiative.

The program was presided over by Mr. Mohibullah Akon, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Sreemangal. Mr. Khaled Ahmad, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet Office, attended the event as the chief guest and handed over cheques to the beneficiary farmers. Mr. Ahmad Monnun Panna, Regional Head (Sylhet Region), AB Bank, Mr. Md. Alauddin, Upazila Agriculture Officer, and Mr. Joy Bonik, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer, were present as special guests.

Managers of scheduled banks operating in Sreemangal Upazila, officials from various banks, representatives of the Department of Agriculture Extension, journalists, and local farmers were also present at the event.
